Baby Bean flyball practice
He’s not doing the box yet, because I’m still waiting for him to be a little more physically mature, so he’s just going over the jumps and picking up a ball laying on the ground in front of the box … Continue reading
Flyball weekend: running with the big dogs
Last weekend Steve’s flyball team borrowed a height dog and were seeded in Open 1. We were running against the big name teams from our region, and we all pretty much figured we were going to have our butts handed … Continue reading
Steve CL1-R, CL1-F
So hi there. I kind of fell off the earth for awhile, but during that while, Steve had his second CPE agility trial, and he finished his Level 1 Regular and Level 1 Fun titles. He would have gotten his … Continue reading
Reflections on Steve’s first agility trial.
It’s been a couple weeks now since Steve’s debut in CPE Level 1 agility. Now that the initial high of three qualifying runs out of three has worn off, I’ve been doing some thinking about agility, about my dog, and … Continue reading
Family reunion!
Unfortunately, I hardly got a chance to see these pups other than our quick photo shoot (I managed three photos, and this is the only one in which everybody’s eyes are open). Our flyball tournament was tremendously hectic– set up … Continue reading
Steve’s agility debut!
CPE Level 1 Colors. 12.03 seconds. 0 faults. We have worked so ridiculously long and hard to get here.
So I took Steve to his first agility trial today.
Three runs, three Qs. Not bad for a crazy dog and his crazy owner.
Hold your breath and jump.
At Steve’s last rehab appointment, he was just the slightest bit sore in his ‘psoas. He’s always just the slightest bit sore in his ‘psoas at appointments. I don’t think he is sore all the time, because there are days … Continue reading
Pray to the Rally gods
So we got this today. Steve finds my lack of faith disturbing. Today was Steve’s first try in AKC Rally Excellent. I sent a prayer to the rally gods this morning to not get the moving stand/ leave dog/ sit … Continue reading
Baby Bean’s first rally run-thru
I thought really hard about entering him in our club’s trial next weekend, and then I didn’t because he’s just a babydog, just six months old. He’d never actually, you know, seen a rally course before. I took him to … Continue reading
