These are the musings of a girl, just a girl, who somehow ended up smitten with dogs after having sworn herself a cat person. Pit bull ownership changed my life in so many ways. These dogs have touched off so much passion, so much anger, so much pride, so much joy. The addition of a herding breed puppy into the house has toppled my world once again, bringing so much curiosity and so much fascination. And so much barking.

The thoughts contained here are mine. The biases are mine. The beliefs are mine. I am an ever-evolving, ever-learning person. What I think now may not be the same thing as what I think next week, and I believe that to be a good way to be.

I hope you enjoy your time here. I hope you learn something. I hope, if you have come here with fear and hatred of my breed in your heart, that you will learn that they are good dogs. It’s not in how they’re raised. It’s in how they’re owned.

Thanks for reading.

I just wanted to let you know about an amazing YouTube video that will have everyone who ever feared pit bulls changing their mind. It shows a pit bull rescued from Michael Vick’s dog fighting operation, who is now working as a Therapy Dog.
    Check it out….

    What a great ambassador!

I knew I was going to like this blog just from seeing the title (that was one of my favorite shows)! And I could write the first three sentences of your description about myself! Too funny.

I too was a sworn cat lover until last August when I rescued my “pit” (american bulldog/mastiff/pit mix). Now I’m very passionate about pitbulls and spreading the word about them. The GOOD word that is! Great to find others like yourself on the www!

I adore your blog! I haven’t had much of a chance to read much but now that I have easy access to the net, I will be reading more. :) I’m a lover of all animals but am a bully advocate. Thank you for giving pitties a chance. *thumbs up* I wish more people had your mindset and would give them a try! That’s all it takes! Keep up the good fight–they need us!
